Sudan
i+solutions has a permanent representation in Khartoum, Sudan.
In January 2008, i+solutions had been registered at the Humanitarian Aid Commission as an international NGO working in the healthcare field. The activities of i+solutions in Sudan commenced in August 2007 when a public-private partnership with Siemens was established for the servicing of medical equipment. Under this partnership i+solutions, in cooperation with its local Sudanese partner El Zahrawi Medix provides services including maintenance and ordering of spare parts for clients who own Siemens equipment. Since the start of the this project, the interest in Siemens equipment has remained high in Sudan.
The humanitarian character of the services in Sudan, is strengthened by a humanitarian fund created by Siemens and i+solutions based on the sales. Through the humanitarian fund a limited selection of projects with a clear humanitarian character can be funded. Besides its activities as mentioned above, i+solutions is actively pursuing projects in line with its mission to improve access to high quality healthcare services in Sudan and thus serve the people of Sudan.
Jean Charles Merdy is the project leader of this project.
