The Role:
The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for managing improvements and specific ad hoc projects on behalf of the Project Implementation team.
The BA is responsible for developing the specs for a task/project together with operational staff. The BA will then work with technical staff, e.g. internal and external IT, to develop and implement the solution. The BA should have an oversight and ownership of all related activities but will delegate specific tasks when needed.
The BA should have an in-depth understanding of Procurement and SCS processes, tools and systems. He/she should also have experience with process mapping and planning technical solutions, e.g. specking, risk assessment. From a communication point of view, he/she should be comfortable with interacting the business, technical staff (internal and external) and management.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Analyzing existing processes and identifying areas for improvement
- Exception management and managing identified bugs and fixes
- Specifications of improvement tasks/projects
- Planning the implementation of solutions, e.g. time and resource management
- Managing the tasks via a project management board, i.e. Jira
- Monitoring improvement plans against scope, deliverables and resources
- Anticipating and responding proactively to changes in scope and deliverables
- Creating and maintaining documentation around processes and improvements
- Coordinating with line managers the delegation of tasks where applicable
- Managing development and implementation of solutions without business disruption
- Liaising with management and prioritizing tasks as per available capacity
- Overseeing testing and user acceptance of implemented solutions
- Implementing and roll-out solutions in terms of documentation and training
- Executing other tasks, e.g. operational, when required
Competencies
- Good project management skills, specifically Agile
- Good written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to translate business needs into a technical scope of work
Qualifications
- 3 years+ of work experience in an analyst role
- Higher educational level
- Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and work in a team with diverse cultural backgrounds
- Self-driven with a high sense of quality, accuracy, efficiency and meeting tight deadlines
- Fluency, both oral and written, English is a must
- Excellent communication and social skills
- Experience with ERP or procurement/supply chain management software is highly appreciated
- Strong computer skills, including sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Atlassian tools
- Analytical capacity and insight into business processes, both in the industry and in the business policy arena
- Eligible to work in the Netherlands and currently living in The Netherlands.
