The role
The Supplier Management Lead (SML) reports to Head of Procurement within i+solutions’ Procurement and Supply Services (PSS) department. The SML is dedicated to Global Drug Facility, one of i+solutions key clients. The Stop TB Partnership’s Global Drug Facility (GDF) facilitates global access to quality-assured, affordable tuberculosis (TB) diagnostics and treatments.
The Supplier Management Lead (SML) is responsible for supervising and managing suppliers’ performance, acting as interface between suppliers and clients and developing and maintaining relationships with clients’ sourcing teams. The SML works closely with the Supply Chain Services (SCS) team and provides them with support, ensuring communication between i+solutions and the supplier runs smoothly.
Main Responsibilities
Supplier Management:
- Builds relationships with suppliers within the given client/product portfolio via calls, face-to-face meetings and stakeholder events.
- Holds regular calls with (major) suppliers, maintaining order overviews, identifying any production bottlenecks and disseminating transactional data to the wider SCS team.
- Informs and instructs suppliers on client’s and i+solutions’ requirements, performance KPIs and measurements, service level agreements and in general, acts as the main POC for related queries.
- POC for escalations from suppliers towards i+solutions and anticipates (and ideally prevents) potential escalations to the clients. If needed, escalates issues to the clients on a timely basis.
- Aligns with internal stakeholders, e.g. SCS team members and Supply Chain Managers on reviewing, updating and changing business requirements from suppliers.
- Manages the quarterly business reviews for suppliers, including coordinating SCS team members to ensure data accuracy and correct performance evaluation.
- Receives and coordinates agendas of assigned suppliers visiting the i+ office. Supplier performance data analysis, alerts, data corrections and troubleshooting before data is shared with the client.
- Helps coordinate the collection of key data set from suppliers (e.g. GS1, GMP).
Client Management:
- Relationship management between i+solutions and key clients.
- Arranges monthly calls with clients, with a corresponding agent and meeting minutes.
- Participates in the quarterly business reviews when required by client.
- Supports with performance data management before and after supplier QBRs.
- Coordinates annual supplier customer surveys and any associated corrective and preventive actions.
Cross-functional Tasks:
- Internal business support & POC for other i+departments with supplier related issues or queries e.g. from QA, Finance, Legal, Category Management and Freight and Warehousing Services.
- Informs the operational team members of relevant topics from client and supplier meeting/calls.
- Supports operational teams with open order & supplier specific queries.
Overall Support Role:
- Takes on an active role in the organization’s continuous improvement.
- Master data accuracy and ownership when related to suppliers.
- Act as liaison between client and supplier needs.
- Manages relationship across i+solutions’ staff and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Approximately 7 to 10 years of work experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, procurement, supply chain management, business management, or a relevant field.
- Significant experience working with international donors preferred.
- Self-driven with a high sense of quality, accuracy, efficiency and meeting tight deadlines.
- Analytical capacity and insight into business processes, both in the industry and in the business policy arena.
- Excellent communication and social skills.
- Fluency in oral and written English is a must.
- Experience with ERP or procurement/supply chain management software.
- Strong computer skills, including sound knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
