i+solutions released its yearly EM RFP for the supply of Essential Medicines category on April 9th, 2026.
The purpose of this RFP is to select a panel of suppliers who will enter into a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) with i+solutions, the contracted Procurement Agent of ESSENTIAL MEDICINES category for the Global Fund.
The eligible suppliers will furnish proposals for the supply of a selected range of essential medicines to i+solutions in accordance with all applicable terms and conditions and the requirements defined in the RFP.
The supplied pharmaceuticals are for use in i+solutions global health supply chain programs key among which is the Global Fund (GF) funded Pooled Procurement Mechanism project.
The RFP process consists of five 5 steps:
- Step 1: Bidders are invited via the sourcing tool MERCELL where The RFP documentation including annexes can be downloaded.
- Step 2: Suppliers shall communicate via MERCELL tool with i+solutions and upload the bid documents filled-out within due time.
- Step 3: Suppliers shall upload the Quality documents as the per the products QA requirements.
- Step 4: iplussolutions evaluates the Technical and Financial Bids of eligible Bidders. Several sources per product can be offered, if available.
- Step 5: iplussolutions releases the intent of awards (under condition quality requirements are passed following supporting documents review).
- Step 6: iplussolutions evaluates the quality documents received.
- Step 7: iplussolutions adjudicates the Bids.
- Step 8: Awarded suppliers are notified of the awards via MERCELL
- Step 9: LTA reviews and signatures are discussed via e-mail.
